Midland Leaders Show Support for Anti-Litter Campaign in Austin

MIDLAND - A couple of Midland leaders are in the state's capital for a massive anti-litter campaign.

Mayor Jerry Morales and Councilman J. Ross Lacy went to learn more about the Texas Department of Transportation's new "Don't Mess With Texas" anti-litter campaign.

The event was held on the capitol lawn to launch several new public service announcements.

In the new PSA's, celebrities like Willie Nelson are seen taking selfies while wearing "Don't Mess With Texas" T-shirts in an effort to support the campaign's anti-litter efforts.

Midland is sponsoring a "Not In My Town" campaign to keep the city litter free.
