BIG SPRING - City officials in Big Spring hosted a public hearing about the possibility of allowing alcohol at Bert Andres Park.
The idea was brought to the council during a previous meeting.
But officials tabled it until they could get more feedback from people who live close to the park.
Out of the 29 people surveyed, only two were against the idea of serving and selling booze there.
The council will take up the issue for approval at their next meeting.
City officials also approved motions to bring in a new restaurant and a new grocery store as well as an ordinance that forbids residents from bringing pets to the city amphitheater.
