MIDLAND COUNTY - A man is accused of pointing a gun at his own mother in Midland County.
According to the arrest affidavit, 25-year-old Zackary Baer went to his mother's house to check on her because she had apparently been making suicidal threats.
He told deputies she was on a rampage and began to yell and curse at him and even throw things.
He left the home but went back because he left his dog there.
Deputies say when he got out of his car, his mother hit him with a shovel then began hitting his car with a piece of wood.
That's when Baer grabbed a gun, pointed it at her and told her to leave him alone.
He claimed the gun wasn't loaded.
As Baer walked away, deputies say he fired two rounds into the dirt.
