Two Arrested After Police Execute Narcotics Search Warrant

Two people are behind bars after Big Spring Police executed a narcotics search warrant on Tuesday afternoon. The Big Spring Police Department tells NewsWest 9, the warrant was executed in the 800 block of Lorilla.

BIG SPRING – Two people are behind bars after Big Spring Police executed a narcotics search warrant on Tuesday afternoon.

The Big Spring Police Department tells NewsWest 9, the warrant was executed in the 800 block of Lorilla.

When officers entered the residence, they took 30-year-old Jolene Quick and 38-year-old Tracy Jones into custody. Officers also found a 21-year-old black female unconscious with a methamphetamine pipe in her hand.

The 21-year-old was taken to Scenic Mountain Medical Center for treatment for a possible overdose.

During the search, officers found one ounce of methamphetamine, approximately eight grams of cocaine and four handguns.

Quick and Jones have been arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Investigators say they are seeking federal prosecution for the firearms and the methamphetamine found in the home.
