ODESSA - A local State Representative was in Odessa on Saturday for a town hall meeting.
Brooks Landgraf stopped at Odessa College to talk with people about issues facing the state legislature.
Landgraf continues to fight for his bill to improve roads in West Texas and across the state.
It would provide over $50 million to counties to make county roads safer, which is a big issue in oil producing areas like the Permian Basin.
He says catering to the people he represents is what his job is all about.
“I do have to know what their general concerns are and then also what their specific concerns are on different issues and issues come up very quickly for us in the legislature and it's good to have those open lines of communication,” said Landgraf.
Landgraf represents Andrews, Ector, Ward and Winkler Counties.
