SEMINOLE – Three people have been arrested following a traffic stop in Seminole.
The Seminole Police Department tells NewsWest 9, a Seminole Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a gray Dodge truck for speeding on Tuesday.
An investigation revealed that the the pickup was found to be stolen out of Carlsbad, New Mexico. The truck was also filled with suspected stolen property and the license plate on the truck didn't match the correct plate.
The driver and two other people were arrested and a fourth person was detained.
Further investigation led to a stolen trailer located in Upton County that was stolen from a company in Midland and some of the property found in the truck was also linked to a theft in Upton County.
According to the report, other suspected stolen property appears to be from storage units or possibly enclosed trailers. The investigation has shown the suspects have traveled from Eunice, to Hobbs, to Midland, to McCamey, up to Brownfield, Lubbock and possibly to Crosbyton.
21-year-old Alexander Lee Carnell, 39-year-old Lisa Jo Martinez and 22-year-old Caitlyn Jewel Overson were all arrested. The fourth subject's name hasn't been released due to not being arrested on local charges.
Seminole Police are asking anyone who may have recently had a storage unit or enclosed trailer burglarized to contact them at (432) 758-9871 to try and help identify the stolen property.
