ODESSA – Two men are behind bars following a traffic stop in Odessa on Wednesday.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they saw a gray Dodge truck traveling northbound in the 1200 block of North Dixie with no license plate light.
A traffic stop was conducted and the men inside the vehicle were identified as 47-year-old John Brooks and 63-year-old Leroy Brown.
When officers searched the truck, they found a folded up paper towel in the driver's door containing methamphetamine.
An investigation revealed that Brooks had eight misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.
His passenger, Leroy Brown, had two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest.
When officers searched Brown, they found cocaine in his front right pocket and a metal smoking pipe in his left front pocket.
Brooks has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, driving while license invalid with prior convictions, no proof of insurance and for eight warrants.
Brown has been charged with possession of cocaine, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and for credit card abuse.
