Man "No Billed" in Connection With Odessa Murder, Another Indicted

ODESSA – One man has been "no billed" in connection with a January murder in Odessa.

19-year-old Manuel Garcia-Carbajal was "no billed" on March 23.

As you may recall, Odessa Police were called out to the 2500 block of West 10th Street in reference to a disturbance that was upgraded to a gunshot victim.

An investigation revealed that 32-year-old Ismael Rios was shot multiple times.

According to the report, 19-year-old Manuel Garcia-Carbajal drove up with 20-year-old Marko Mendoza and another man and began arguing with Rios' wife.

During the argument, police say Mendoza got out of the car, started shooting at Rios and drove off.

Rios was taken to Medical Center Hospital where he later died.

According to the report, 20-year-old Marko Mendoza was indicted for the murder.

Garcia-Carbajal remains behind bars on charges following a police chase in Odessa on Saturday.
