32-year-old Brandon Pourner

Odessa Police arrested Pourner on 4-12-15 at approximately 1831 hours for Assault by Strangulation (Warrant) “3rd Degree Felony”. Officers responded to 601 North Grandview (Animal Emergency Hospital) in reference to a disturbance. Dispatch advised that a female subject and a male subject were fighting in the lobby.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with one of the involved parties, identified as Pourner. Investigation revealed that Pourner had a felony warrant for Assault by Strangulation (Family Violence) “3rd Degree Felony”. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Pourner was charged and arrested accordingly.

27-year-old Aaron Bennett

Odessa Police arrested Bennett on 4-11-15 at approximately 0218 hours for Manufacture or Delivery of Cocaine, a 2nd Degree Felony. Officers observed a white Camaro run a stop sign at 24th Street and Catalina. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Bennett.

Officers searched Bennett and found him to be in possession of a bag of cocaine. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered cocaine underneath the front passenger seat, inside the glove box, and on the floor in front of the front passenger seat. Bennett was charge and arrested accordingly. The cocaine weighed approximately 2.4 grams.

23-year-old Echo Hinson

Odessa Police arrested Hinson on 4-11-15 at approximately 2150 hours for Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Another Felony (Warrant) “1st Degree Felony”. Officers responded to 31st and Andrews Highway in reference to a male subject and female subject that were seen with a large knife.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with one of the involved parties, identified as Hinson. Investigation revealed Hinson had a felony warrant for burglary of a habitation. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Hinson was charged and arrested accordingly.

19-year-old Paul Hernandez

Odessa Police arrested Hernandez on 4-10-15 at approximately 1822 hours for Burglary of a Habitation – Parole Violation (Felony). Officers responded to the 900 block of Harless in reference to a wanted subject. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male subject matching the suspect's description.

The suspect was identified as Hernandez. Dispatch advised that Hernandez had a felony parole violation warrant out for his arrest. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Hernandez was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.

38-year-old Luis Hernandez

Odessa Police arrested Hernandez on 4-11-15 at approximately 1545 hours for Possession of Cocaine, a State Jail Felony. Officers responded to the 800 block of East 8th Street in reference to a male subject sleeping inside of a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed a male subject inside of a silver Mitsubishi truck.

The male subject, identified as Hernandez, was found to be in possession of a bag of cocaine. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Hernandez was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

18-year-old Caleb Hinojos

Odessa Police arrested Hinojos on 4-12-15 at approximately 1035 hours for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle “State Jail Felony” and for Violation of a Protective Order “Class A Misdemeanor”. Officers responded to the 1300 block of West 20th Street in reference to a violation of a protective order.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 47-year-old male, who reported that he had an active protective order against a Caleb Hinojos. While officers were investigating the protective order violation, they observed a male subject matching the suspect's description, traveling in the area of 20th and Santa Monica.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Dodge Ram and the driver was identified as Hinojos. Investigation revealed that the listed vehicle had been reported stolen. Further investigation revealed that Hinojos had violated a protective order. Hinojos was charged and arrested accordingly.

22-year-old Alex Matson

Odessa Police arrested Matson on 4-13-15 at approximately 0312 hours for Unlawful Delivery or Manufacture with Intent to Deliver “State Jail Felony”, Burglary of a Habitation – Parole Violation (Warrant) “2nd Degree Felony”, and for a misdemeanor warrant.

Officers observed a tan 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling westbound in the 500 block of East 42nd Street with no headlights. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Matson. Investigation revealed that Matson had two warrants out for his arrest, including a felony parole violation warrant.

Matson was later found to be in possession of a pouch concealed on his person, which contained several black and white plastic baggies. Three of the bags contained white substance believed to be cocaine in the amount of 2.1 grams. The substance tested negative for cocaine.

The substance had a consistency and was packaged to appear as crack cocaine. Matson later stated that the substance was soap cut into small squares packaged to appear as crack cocaine. He further stated that it was given to him by a drug dealer to stimulate crack cocaine and to sell. Matson was charged and arrested accordingly.
