Seating Capacity Expanded for Jay Leno Performance

Seating Capacity Expanded for Jay Leno Performance

Midland College Press Release

Due to an overwhelming response to next Friday's performance of Jay Leno, the seating capacity has been increased at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center. Additional FREE General Admission tickets for the 8:00 p.m. April 17 performance by Jay Leno will be available online beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, at http://www.brownpapertickets.com.

Midland College President Dr. Thomas said, "Part of our mission as a community college is to offer cultural enrichment and entertainment. Because of the generosity of Phyllis & Bob Cowan, the entire Midland community is able to enjoy these performances at no charge. We want as many people as possible to be able to see Jay Leno—so we have found a way to change the setup and allow for more seats at Chap Center."

The original batch of tickets became available at 8:00 a.m. this past Tuesday, April 7, and they were all gone within 45 minutes. Since that time, college officials have been investigating ways to increase seating capacity and are now pleased to be able to accommodate additional people.
