ODESSA – One man is behind bars on driving while intoxicated charges following an incident in Odessa on Wednesday.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to University and Muskingum in reference to a check welfare of a subject.
When officers arrived on the scene, they saw a man, later identified as 44-year-old Scott Crow, sleeping inside a red Chevrolet truck in the roadway.
Officers then turned off the engine and removed the keys from the engine.
When officers spoke with Crow, they could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath.
Crow was later taken into custody for driving while intoxicated after failing field sobriety tests.
An investigation later determined that Crow had four prior convictions for driving while intoxicated.
