Man Arrested for DWI After Crashing Into a Building

ODESSA – One man is behind bars after crashing his vehicle into a building in Odessa.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 2500 block of North Grandview in reference to a crash.

Dispatch reported to officers responding that a white Toyota Tundra had crashed into a building and that the driver was attempting to leave the scene.

When officers arrived on the scene, officers made contact with 56-year-old Kyle Locke.

According to the report, officers could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle.

Locke was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated after failing field sobriety tests.

An investigation later revealed that Locke had multiple prior convictions for driving while intoxicated.

Locke was charged with driving while intoxicated with at least two prior convictions.

We're told no injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
