BREWSTER COUNTY – Nine undocumented Mexican Nationals were apprehended by the Brewster County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.
According to the Brewster County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page, the Mexican Nationals were apprehended in the Black Gap area of Brewster County.
According to the report, the U.S. Border Patrol lost sign of the group.
But after wondering around in the desert for several hours, they were spotted by area residents who notified the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the scene and the group of nine were found.
According to the post, it appeared that some of the males may be involved in gang activities.
Officials say large groups of illegal border crossers have been seen in the areas of Brewster, Presidio, Terrell and Culberson County.
