ODESSA – One woman is behind bars on aggravated assault charges following an incident on Sunday.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 2500 block of West 10th Street in reference to a disturbance.
When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with a 47-year-old male and his girlfriend, identified as 52-year-old Mary Rios.
An investigation revealed that after the man and Rios got into an argument, Rios showed a knife and pressed the knife against the man's stomach, causing an indention on his stomach.
Officers also spoke with a witness who confirmed the man's story.
Rios has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence).
