ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A dispute over an alarm clock may cause an Albuquerque man to do some time.
Authorities say 21-year-old Michael Chavez Jr. was arrested this week on a number of charges after police say he attacked his father because of the repeated ringing from the alarm clock.
According to a criminal complaint, an annoyed Chavez he went into his father's room on Monday and punched him and hit him with a baseball bat.
Police say Chavez then walked to the front of the house and threatened to break all the furniture.
The father later told investigators that he thought his son broke his arm. Police say the father suffered other minor injuries.
Chavez faces a number of charges, including aggravated battery on a household member.
It was not known if he had an attorney.
