ODESSA – Permian High School was placed under shelter in place on Tuesday morning.
Ector County ISD tells NewsWest 9, Permian spent about 20 minutes under the shelter in place.
Officials say ECISD officers responded to the school after district police heard a scanner call about an armed robbery at the Subway across the street from Permian.
The shelter in place was lifted after officers believed the suspect fled the area.
We're told that District Police will remain at Permian for several hours as a precaution.
