ODESSA – An Odessa Junior High School sheltered in place on Monday afternoon.
According to the Ector County ISD Facebook page, Ector Junior High spent about 15 minutes in a shelter in place while the Odessa Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Office served a warrant at a home to the east of the campus.
The shelter in place ended around 2:30 p.m.
A shelter in place is a precautionary measure. The outside entrances of the school are locked and monitored but inside the school activities go on as planned.
