HOBBS, N.M. - A Hobbs man is lucky to be alive after an RV trailer went up in flames.

Firefighters rushed to the scene on South Sixth Street on Wednesday night.

The man said he was making toast and fell asleep.

That's when the flames sparked up.

The man woke up in time to escape the fire with minor injuries.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
