MIDLAND - A close call for a young child in Midland.
A three-year-old boy was found wandering on Cuthbert near Big Spring Street on Wednesday night.
Sindy Pando was driving when her son pointed out that the toddler was by himself.
She said the little boy crossed the street and almost got hit.
Luckily, the truck that almost collided with him was able to stop.
Sindy says she went back to the area to go find the boy but the owner of Mr. T's market had him in his arms.
That's when Sindy made the call to police to get the child safe and home.
She hopes from now on people will be on the lookout for things like this and call for help.
"If something like this happens, like all the citizens of Midland, please keep an eye out and help," said Pando.
Police tell NewsWest 9, Child Protective Services is investigating the case.
