34-year-old Nicholas Eugene Thompson

Odessa Police arrested Thompson on 3-24-15 at approximately 1734 hours for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon "3rd Degree Felony" and for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a gray Jeep in the area of University and East Loop 338 and the driver was identified as Thompson

Investigation revealed Thompson had two outstanding warrants and he was placed into custody for them. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a handgun inside the center console, along with a digital scale and several zip lock baggies. Dispatch advised Thompson was a convicted felon. Thompson was charged and arrested accordingly.

24-year-old Donny Roberts

Odessa Police arrested Roberts on 3-24-15 at approximately 1418 hours for Forgery of a Financial Instrument, a State Jail Felony. Officers responded to 1412 North County Road West (About Cash) in reference to a forgery in progress. Dispatch advised a tall white male wearing a black jacket and black baseball cap was in the lobby attempting to cash a stolen check.

Upon arrival, officers observed a male subject matching the suspect's description. The suspect was identified as Roberts. Investigation revealed that the check had previously been reported stolen. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Roberts was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.

44-year-old Charles Pineda

Odessa Police arrested Pineda on 3-23-15 at approximately 1129 hours for Possession of Methamphetamine, a 2nd Degree Felony. Officers observed a silver 2004 Pontiac G6 traveling in the area of University and Andrews Highway with an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as Pineda.

Pineda advised officers that he had placed a registration sticker from another vehicle in the listed vehicle's windshield to avoid being stopped by police. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered two bags of methamphetamine, weighing approximately 23.8 grams. Pineda was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.

40-year-old Martin Chau

Odessa Police arrested Chau on 3-23-15 at approximately 2309 hours for Possession of Cocaine, a State Jail Felony. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Lincoln Mark in the 1900 block of South Dixie. The driver of the listed vehicle was identified as Chau. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a crack rock on the floor in front of the driver's seat. Chau was charged and arrested accordingly.

41-year-old Amelia Peppentenzza

Odessa Police arrested Peppentenzza on 3-23-15 at approximately 1330 hours for Theft of Property with at least Two Prior Convictions, a State Jail Felony. Officers responded to 2450 NW Loop 338 (Wal-Mart West) in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Wal-Mart personnel, who advised they observed a female subject conceal 19 items and exit the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.

Officers made contact with the suspect, identified as Peppentenzza. Investigation revealed Peppentenzza had 7 outstanding warrants out for her arrest. Further investigation revealed Peppentenzza had 5 prior convictions for theft of property. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Peppentenzza was charged and arrested accordingly.
