ODESSA – One man and one woman are behind bars following an incident in Odessa on Tuesday.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 700 block of Hudson in reference to a male subject discharging a firearm.
When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with a witness who pointed at a male subject standing in front of a vehicle.
Officers made contact with 24-year-old Paul Posey who was standing in front of a black Ford Expedition.
They also made contact with a female who was sitting in the vehicle.
Officers later saw a handgun inside the vehicle next to where Posey had been standing. Dispatch reported that Posey had five warrants out for his arrest.
The woman in the vehicle gave officers a false name but she was later identified as 27-year-old Andrea Tinner. It was later learned that Tinner had 22 outstanding warrants for her arrest.
Both Posey and Tinner were arrested.
An investigation revealed that Posey had fired a handgun towards a residence and the bullet casing matched the bullets inside of the handgun.
While Posey was being searched, officers found two bags of cocaine and one bag of marijuana. Officers also reported that the handgun Posey shot had the serial number filed off.
Posey has been charged with manufacturing and delivery of cocaine, deadly conduct, tampering with an identification number, possession of marijuana, evading arrest (warrant), unlawful carry of a weapon (warrant) and for two additional warrants.
Tinner was arrested for false identification – fugitive from justice and for the 22 outstanding warrants.
