Odessa Police Department Press Release
33-year-old Jaime Mendez, Jr.
Odessa Police arrested Mendez on 3-20-15 at approximately 1140 hours for Tampering with Physical Evidence, a 3rd Degree Felony. Officers observed a 2000 GMC Yukon traveling in the area of 2nd and Santa Rosa with expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted and the passenger was identified as Mendez.
Dispatch advised Mendez had a felony warrant for tampering with physical evidence. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Mendez was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
36-year-old Christopher Enderby
Odessa Police arrested Enderby on 3-21-15 at approximately 1041 hours for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility “3rd Degree Felony”, Possession of Methamphetamine “State Jail Felony”, and Forgery (Warrant) “State Jail Felony”. Officers responded to the 3800 block of North Dixie in reference to an attempt to locate of a wanted subject.
Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the subject they were searching for. However, officers made contact with a male subject, identified as Enderby. Dispatch advised Enderby had a felony warrant out of Midland County for forgery. Enderby was placed into custody and transported to the ECLEC.
While at the jail, officers located a bag of methamphetamine inside Enderby's wallet. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Enderby was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine and prohibited substances in a correctional facility.
39-year-old Cesar Rios
Odessa Police arrested Rios on 3-21-15 at approximately 0121 hours for Possession of Cocaine “State Jail Felony” and Public Intoxication “Class C Misdemeanor”. While working off-duty at Fast Eddies (4031 East 42nd Street), officers observed a male subject fighting with another male.
The male subject, identified as Rios, was eventually placed into custody for public intoxication. Officers searched Rios and discovered cocaine inside his pockets. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Rios was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.
23-year-old Ruben Fierro
Odessa Police arrested Fierro on 3-19-15 at approximately 0814 hours for Possession of Cocaine “State Jail Felony” and for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Officers observed a white Cadillac Seville run a stop sign at Highway 80 and JBS Parkway. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Fierro.
Investigation revealed Fierro had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered cocaine on the floorboard in front of the driver's seat. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Fierro was charged and arrested accordingly.
