ODESSA – One man is behind bars on burglary charges after breaking into an Odessa Salon.
Odessa Police were called out to Salon 2000 in the 4500 block of East University in reference to a burglary in progress last week.
When officers arrived on the scene, they saw a male subject made entry into the business by smashing out a plate of glass in a back entry door.
According to the report, the officers also saw the suspect run to the front of the store, smash out the glass to the front door and started running eastbound on University.
Officers later caught the suspect in front of Harrigan's Restaurant.
Officials say the suspect initially gave a false name but the suspect was later identified as 51-year-old Kenneth Landreth.
The report also stated that the Salon had three entry doors with damage to the glass panes and every office had been completely rummaged through.
Landreth is facing charges of burglary of a building, evading arrest or detention and false identification.
