ODESSA – An Andrews woman is behind bars in Odessa on charges of burglary of a habitation.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 400 block of North Belmont in reference to an aggravated kidnapping back on January 28, 2015.
When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with a 40-year-old male who advised someone had tried to break into his house.
The victim told police that two known females and two unknown males rushed his front door and forced their way inside.
Police say the victim told them that one of the males put a knife to his throat and made threats that he was going to stab him but he was able to free himself and ran across the street to call for help.
Following an investigation, detectives were able to identify one of the female suspects as 40-year-old Elizabeth Kirby.
Kirby has been charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony.
