ODESSA - A video found on a young girl's phone led to the arrest of 29-year-old Esteban Silva back in January. On Wednesday, he pleaded guilty in federal court.

According to documents, Silva was involved in a sexual relationship with his girlfriend's 13-year-old daughter for about a year, sending her nude photos and videos of himself and having her do the same. Investigators also found Facebook messages between the two that indicated the two already had sex.

The girl told investigators she was just 12 years old when Silva first kissed her. According to documents, Silva said the two would have sex almost every night when they lived across the street from one another in Odessa. He said he would sneak into her room through the window, or she would come over to his house while her mother was asleep. The girl told investigators that when she tried to refuse to have sex with Silva, he threatened that he would "do things" to her five-year-old little sister.

In June 2014, the girl and her mom moved to Washington, but a month later Silva joined them and continued his inappropriate relationship with his girlfriend's daughter. Documents say that at some point the girl's uncle found the two kissing, which prompted Silva to move out. Eventually the three started driving back to Odessa but stayed in a motel in Colorado for a month.

When they came back to Odessa in December, the two continued to send photos and video through Facebook, that's when the girl's mom discovered a video of Silva masturbating which prompted her to alert authorities. Reports say that during Silva's arrest, he told investigators that he was not a rapist, and that every time they had sex it was "consensual."

Silva is facing a minimum of 15 years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender.
