Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, officers were called out to the Wal-Mart on North JBS Parkway in reference to an assault.

When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with Odessa Fire Rescue, who advised they saw a subject being chased out of the Wal-Mart by employees.

According to the report, several firefighters chased the subject through the Wal-Mart Parking lot. When they caught up with the suspect, he turned around and threatened to shoot them. Firefighters then backed off away from the suspect.
