ODESSA – One man is behind bars on several charges in Odessa.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 1100 block of Blackshear back on March 8, 2015, in reference to a disturbance.
When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with a 16-year-old female who advised that her boyfriend, 25-year-old Bernardo Martinez, had assaulted her and got into an argument.
An investigation revealed that Martinez punched his girlfriend in the lip and bit her in the chest and right shoulder, causing bodily injury.
Martinez fled the scene before police arrived and Martinez was arrested on Monday afternoon.
