MIDLAND – A burglary suspect is in custody after keeping police on the run for at least 30 minutes.
Sara Bustilloz with the City of Midland tells NewsWest 9, police responded to a home in the 1200 block of West Florida around 5 p.m. in reference to the burglary call.
When officers got to the home, police saw 51-year-old David Gallegos outside of the house with a gun.
Police immediately secured a perimeter and called in police dogs and their armored vehicle.
Gallegos was later taken into custody and was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
