ODESSA – One woman is behind bars on theft charges after attempting to steal items over the weekend.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to Wal-Mart on JBS Parkway in reference to a shoplifter.
When officers arrived, Wal-Mart employees told police that they saw 40-year-old Allie Jaramillo select and conceal items and exit the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.
Jaramillo was taken into custody for theft.
Further investigation revealed that Jaramillo had multiple prior convictions for theft so her theft charge was enhanced to a felony.
