BIG SPRING – An arrest has been made in connection with the death of a man that was hit by a train two weeks ago in Big Spring.
Big Spring Police tell NewsWest 9, an arrest warrant was issued for 28-year-old Fabian Carpenter for murder in the death of Roy Cervantes.
Carpenter was arrested on Sunday in Fort Worth without incident.
As you may recall, Cervantes was hit and killed by a train at FM 700 and Interstate 20.
However, autopsy results later showed that Cervantes died from multiple gunshot wounds prior to being placed on the railroad tracks.
Carpenter is currently in the Tarrant County Jail awaiting transport back to Howard County.
