Woman Arrested Following Weekend Theft in Big Spring

BIG SPRING – A woman has been arrested on several charges following a weekend theft investigation in Big Spring.

Big Spring Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to Star Stop Convenience Store on Interstate 20 early Saturday morning in reference to a theft.

When officers arrived, they learned that over $1,500 in currency was missing from within the safe and three $50 lottery tickets were missing.

According to the report, following review of the surveillance video, it was believed that the woman suspect was familiar with the store and possibly an employee.

Later that day, Big Spring Police went to a home in the 2100 block of South Scurry following up on information they received.

An investigation revealed that 29-year-old Krystal Henderson was suspected of the theft.

Henderson was later located at the Budget Inn Hotel on Business 20 where she confessed to the theft.

Additionally, police found evidence at Henderson's house and over $350 was recovered from Henderson.

Henderson has been charged with theft over $1,500 and for warrant for a probation violation on failure to identify and evading arrest/detention.
