Three Men Arrested For Burglary of a Habitation

ODESSA – Three men are behind bars following an incident in Odessa.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to a home in the 1300 block of West Ada in reference to a burglary in progress.

According to the report, dispatch reported that the men had stolen a television from the home and placed it in a brown truck.

Witnesses told officers they saw that the three actors were Hispanic males, two were wearing dark clothing and another was wearing a white shirt. The witnesses also told police that the homeowner was out of town.

When officers went to the home and found the front door of the home wide open and saw the home had been ransacked.

An officer later saw a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted in the 1100 block of West Ada with five people inside the vehicle.

Three of the man matched the suspect descriptions and were identified as 38-year-old Carlos Martinez, 41-year-old Estenly Martinez-Macias and 43-year-old Bernardo Gaviro.

Officers later retrieved a 60" LG television from the back of the GMC truck and the homeowner advised over the phone that he owned the TV.

All three men have been arrested for burglary of a habitation.
