ODESSA - An Odessa man is facing murder charges from an accident back in December.
33-year-old Juan Sanchez was indicted on charges of murder, intoxication manslaughter and manslaughter.
Police say he was the driver in the one car crash that killed his passenger, 32-year-old Faustino Calderon.
The accident happened just two days before Christmas.
According to the affidavit, after a night of drinking, Sanchez told officers he wrecked the car on purpose to try and kill himself.
The report says Sanchez told Calderon to get out so he could kill himself but Calderon refused.
Sanchez hit 95 miles an hour, swerved on the wet road and that's when the vehicle crashed.
