MIDLAND - A new catholic high school is in the works for Midland.
San Angelo Bishop Michael Sis gave approval for a committee here in the basin to take the next steps to get the ball rolling.
The school would be legally and financially independent of the diocese but the diocese would oversee the school's catholic identity.
The school hasn't been named yet and there's no word on where it will be located.
However, we're told someone is interested in donating land for the school.
The committee hopes to have the school doors opened by fall of 2018.
