ODESSA – New charges have been filed against a man who is already behind bars on unrelated charges.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, back on January 29, 2015, they were called out to University and Dixie in reference to an armed robbery.
An investigation revealed that a male subject had robbed a 22-year-old at gunpoint while she sat in her vehicle.
The suspect, 33-year-old Jason Hickman, stole the woman's vehicle, a white Nissan Titan and fled the scene.
Later that morning, officers were called out to another armed robbery in the 2000 block of North County Road West at Amigos.
An investigation into that robbery revealed that Hickman robbed a 29-year-old female at gunpoint.
We're told Hickman pointed a gun at the store employee and demanded all of the cash out of the register, then fled the scene in the Titan truck.
Officials say the store employee from Amigos later identified Hickman as the actor.
Hickman was arrested about a month later for several felony warrants following a brief standoff with police. Hickman later admitted to taking the Nissan Titan without the driver's consent.
Two additional charges of aggravated robbery have been filed against Hickman.
