Winter Weather Advisory for our area has been CANCELED. Rain/sleet/snow have moved out of the area, but icy spots on roadways will stick around through about noon. Make sure you're giving yourself extra time to get where you're going this morning!


Wednesday, March 4, 2015 - 10:15 p.m.

Rain, sleet and freezing rain is starting to end across the area and move east and out of the Permian Basin. Icy roads will remain into Thursday and travel is not recommended.


Wednesday, March 4, 2015 - 8:35 p.m.

Parts of Interstate 20 in eastern Midland County are closed on the eastbound side of the highway due to a five car wreck and ice.


Wednesday, March 4, 2015 - 8:30 p.m.

Areas of light sleet, freezing rain and snow continue to move across the Permian Basin. There have been some light accumulations on bridges and overpasses causing wrecks in Midland and Ector county. Travel is not advised tonight into Thursday morning due to icy roads.


Wednesday, March 4, 2015 - 5:05 p.m.

Freezing temperatures have started to arrive in the Permian Basin. Expect any precipitation to start the changeover from rain to freezing rain.
