Resident Displaced Following Early Morning House Fire in Hobbs

HOBBS, N.M. - A house fire in Hobbs early Tuesday morning has left one person without a home.

The Hobbs Fire Department tells NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 1200 block of east Skelley around 5:45 a.m.

When they got arrived, they say the house was already 50 percent involved.

They were able to put the flames out but the house is a total loss.

One person who lived in the house was not injured.

The Red Cross has been called in to help.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
