MIDLAND - An Odessa woman remains behind bars in Midland after a brief chase turned up marijuana and a weapon.

24-year-old Amber Bara is being held on multiple charges including evading and drug possession in a drug free zone.

On Saturday night, an officer spotted Bara in a car that ran a stop sign on east oak.

When police tried to pull the vehicle over, it kept going and drove through more stop signs before going into the parking lot at the Rosa's on Big Spring.

According to the affidavit, the officer noticed someone throwing a plastic bag out a window as the car kept moving.

The vehicle finally stopped on North Pecos and Bara took off on foot but police caught up with her.

That's when they found brass knuckles in her purse and more than 42 ounces of weed in the plastic bag.
