FORT STOCKTON – One man is dead after being electrocuted in Fort Stockton on Wednesday night.
Details are limited at this time but Justice of the Peace Ruben Salinas confirmed the death to NewsWest 9 on Thursday afternoon.
The power company tells NewsWest 9, the man was trimming trees close to a power line and was electrocuted knocking out power to Fort Stockton.
Sheriff Cliff Harris of the Pecos County Sheriff's Office tells NewsWest 9, the man has been identified as 55-year-old Cecelio Galindo.
We're told Galindo was killed instantly and power was cut to 1,700 businesses and homes to remove Galindo from the tree.
