ODESSA – Two people have been indicted in connection with shooting a police officer.

Nathaniel Olivas and Judith Rivera were indicted on Tuesday on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault of a peace officer.

As you may recall, police were called out to Rabb Court and New Orleans Drive back in December of 2014 in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

That's when the vehicle took off and stopped in the east alley of the 4600 block of Constitution.

The officer, identified as Anthony Rossman, chased Olivas on foot through the alley and that's when multiple shots were fired at Rossman.

Olivas and Rivera were later caught with the help from the Texas Rangers.

Rossman was taken to Medical Center Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was later treated and released.
