A filmmaker was in West Texas on Sunday promoting his controversial film.

A Nightmare in Las Cruces, Part 2 is about one of the biggest unsolved shootings in the country.

Seven people including children were killed in the execution style shooting.

Filmmaker Charlie Minn says he showing the film in West Texas in hopes that the killers will be caught.

"I've gotten really close to the families they've been tortured over the past 25 years. The 25 year anniversary is this week so this is a landmark anniversary. This is the largest unsolved shooting in the nation to date this needs to be solved," Minn said.

At Nightmare in Las Cruces opens this Friday at Music City Mall.
