ODESSA – One man is behind bars after failing to comply with registration requirements.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they assisted U.S. Marshal's in arresting 33-year-old Thomas Jason Rios in the 3700 block of Andrews Highway.

According to the report, Rios is a registered sex offender and is required to register every 90 days and registered the 1100 block of North Jackson as his address on May 29, 2014.

On September 30, when Rios reported his registration, the same address was used.

Following a compliance check on Rios, they learned that Rios has been evicted and registered sex offenders are required to report address changes seven days prior to moving.

We're also told registered sex offenders are also required to report within seven days of completing the address change.

A warrant was obtained for Rios and he was arrested on Monday morning.
