HOWARD COUNTY – One man was taken to the hospital after the big rig he was driving crashed into an abandoned building.
The accident happened on Interstate 20 near mile marker 189 on Friday afternoon.
DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, a Fed Ex 18-wheeler was traveling westbound on Interstate 20. When the big rig was driving onto an overpass, the driver lost control and began to drive off the right side of the road.
The big rig then hit a guardrail and continued down an embankment before driving over a concrete culvert.
The vehicle then continued through a Café parking lot, drove through a fence before striking the east wall of an abandoned tire shop.
