ODESSA – A wanted man was arrested in Odessa early Friday morning.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they saw a tan Kia Rio traveling southbound in the 2200 block of North County Road West with an expired registration.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as 34-year-old Christopher Martinez.
An investigation revealed that Martinez had seven warrants out for his arrest, including a forgery warrant out of Clovis County, New Mexico.
Martinez was taken into custody for the warrants.
While officers were searching Martinez's vehicle, they found a bag of marijuana, syringes, a scale, packaging and glass smoking pipes.
Officers also found a bag of methamphetamine inside his pocket.
Martinez has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, forgery-fugitive from justice, possession of marijuana and for six misdemeanor warrants.
