ODESSA – Two people were arrested following an incident in Odessa on Wednesday afternoon.

Odessa Police observed a silver and black Honda Accord without a front license plate in the area of Oakwood and Tanglewood.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and made contact with 29-year-old Isaac Carrasco and 30-year-old Alicia Lewis.

An investigation revealed that the listed vehicle was displaying a false license plate and a computer check of the vehicle identification number revealed that the listed vehicle had been reported stolen.

We're told officers searched the vehicle and found a handgun with the serial number removed and dispatch advised that Carrasco had a felony warrant for assault with a deadly weapon. Also, dispatch advised that Lewis was wanted for false identification – fugitive from justice.

Lewis was later found to be in possession of marijuana and had identifying information such as driver's licenses and social security cards with other individual's names in her purse.

Carrasco has been arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, unlawful carrying of a weapon and tampering with identification numbers.

Lewis has been charged with fraudulent use of identifying information, false identification – fugitive from justice and possession of marijuana.
