One teen is behind bars aggravated assault charges following a gang related shooting in Big Spring on Thursday.
The shooting happened in the 1600 block of Oriole where a 16-year-old was shot.
Big Spring Police tell NewsWest 9, almost immediately information was provided to police by Crimestoppers. That information led investigators to a possible suspect.
Police say the shooting stemmed from a Facebook argument that led to threats and then to the shooting.
Investigators learned that the suspect, a 16-year-old, had left town after the shooting and was in Midland.
Midland Police were provided with an address on Dakota Street and they found the teen and arrested him.
Big Spring Police traveled to Midland to take the suspect back to Big Spring and during questioning, the teen confessed to the shooting.
The teen is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and more arrests could follow.
