Officials Update Conditions of Teens Involved in Deadly Odessa Accident

ODESSA - Officials have released the names of the teens involved in a deadly crash in Odessa.

14-year-old Maria Hernandez and 13-year-old Melissa Muniz are both in the Intensive Care Unit in Lubbock in stable condition.

14-year-old John Navarette is in stable condition.

They were all in a SUV driven by 14-year-old Humberto Juarez.

All are students at Bowie Junior High.

State troopers say on early Sunday morning, Juarez crossed into a center turn lane and slammed into a truck head-on on FM 2020.

Juarez died at the scene.

The driver and a passenger in the truck that was hit have been treated and released.

The other passenger in the truck is in stable condition in Odessa.
