Weekend Felony Arrests by the Odessa Police Department - January 26, 2015

28-year-old Angel Sanchez

Odessa Police arrested Sanchez on 1-24-15 at approximately 2237 hours for Manufacture or Delivery of Cocaine “1st Degree Felony” and Possession of Marijuana “Class B Misdemeanor”. While patrolling the area of Fast Eddies, officers could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the east parking lot.

Officers followed the smell of marijuana to a black 2011 Chevrolet Corvette, with both of its doors open. Officers observed a male subject, identified as Sanchez, exiting from the driver's seat. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered six bags of cocaine underneath the driver's seat. Each bag weighed approximately one gram. Officers also discovered two packages containing marijuana.

Officers placed Sanchez into custody and discovered over $2500 inside his wallet. Out of the sixty-five $20 bills inside his wallet, one of them had been marked off with $1,000, indicating the $1,000 mark. Due to Sanchez having six individual bags and having sixty-five $20 bills, indicated a narcotics trade. Sanchez was charged and arrested accordingly.

40-year-old Joe Ramirez

Odessa Police arrested Ramirez on 1-24-15 at approximately 1550 hours for Failure to Stop and Render Aid (Failure to Appear) warrant, a 3rd Degree Felony. While officers were on scene at 2550 West 8th Street, they made contact with a male subject, identified as Ramirez. Dispatch advised Ramirez had a felony warrant for Failure to Stop and Render Aid (Failure to Appear). Ramirez was charged and arrested accordingly.

24-year-old Devoric Fox and 28-year-old Tyneshia Calicut

Odessa Police arrested Fox on 1-25-15 at approximately 1945 hours for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility “3rd Degree Felony” and for two misdemeanor warrants. Odessa Police also arrested Calicut for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility “3rd Degree Felony” and for a misdemeanor warrant.

Officers responded to 605 North County Road West in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with two of the subjects involved, identified as Fox and Calicut. Investigation revealed that both subjects had active warrants. Both subjects were placed into custody for the warrants and transported to the ECLEC.

While at the jail, ECSO personnel located marijuana concealed on Calicut's person. ECSO personnel also located marijuana inside of Fox's pockets. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, both subjects were additionally charged with prohibited substance in a correctional facility.

25-year-old Jorge Dominguez

Odessa Police arrested Dominguez on 1-23-15 at approximately 2051 hours for Burglary of a Building, a State Jail Felony. While patrolling the 20/20 Lounge (1023 South Grant), officers made contact with a male subject performing a DJ function. The subject was identified as Dominguez.

Dispatch advised Dominguez had a felony warrant out of El Paso for burglary of a building. Dispatch also advised the issuing agency would be willing to extradite. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Dominguez was charged and arrested accordingly.

17-year-old Kathryn Montgomery

Odessa Police arrested Montgomery on 1-24-15 at approximately 0000 hours for Possession of Methamphetamine, a State Jail Felony. Officers responded to the 600 block of West 42nd Street in reference to a crash. Upon arrival, officers could smell marijuana coming from a blue 2005 Dodge Durango.

A female officer searched one of the occupants, identified as Montgomery. A bag of methamphetamine was discovered concealed on Montgomery's person. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Montgomery was charged and arrested accordingly.
