MIDLAND - A Big Spring man remains behind bars in Midland after he tried to cash a stolen check.
Anthony Evans was arrested on Wednesday for felony fraud charges.
When officers were called out to Pronto Check Cashing last Tuesday.
They were told that Evans was at the drive-thru trying to pass and cash a check from a temporary help service in the amount of more than $450.
The check was declined twice and turned out to be fraudulent.
At first, Evans gave police a fake name.
However, other people inside the car he was riding in said that wasn't his name.
Evans then admitted his true identity and later told police that he got the check by answering a Facebook message on how to make money.
He is currently being held on a $50,000 bond.
