ODESSA - Running from police with drugs and a gun landed one Odessa man behind bars over the weekend.
32-year-old Shantay Logan is facing several charges including tampering with evidence and drug possession.
Officers tried to pull him over on Sunday in the 400 block of Pecos but the vehicle he was in took off until he reached the 400 block of Seminole.
That's where Logan and the driver tried to flee police on foot down an alley but authorities caught up with him.
During the pursuit, a handgun fell out of his jeans.
Officers searched Logan and the vehicle and found marijuana, hydrocodone pills, a large amount of cash and more than two grams of cocaine.
They also found a cigarette pack filled with 14 more grams of cocaine hidden under a piece of wood.
An investigation revealed that Logan was a convicted felon with multiple outstanding warrants.
